“Bryant has served her country and our Commonwealth with distinction for more than twenty years”, said Sandra Brandt, The Farm Team board member. “Her campaign is a testament to her experience as a prosecutor in our area, her dedication to service in the Army and her continued commitment to improving our way of life in Tidewater.”
After law school, Bryant entered the United States Army as a First Lieutenant. And went on to become a Captain while on Active Duty and a Major in the United States Army Reserves. She used her legal expertise while serving, and afterwards, to assist active-duty service members and veterans with a variety of legal issues. She continues this work with the Operation Renewed Hope Foundation, which helps homeless vets find housing.
Bryant is now a Deputy Commonwealths Attorney – putting criminals behind bars and assisting victims of crime. She has used her experience as a prosecutor and mother to protect children from Internet solicitation and has successfully prosecuted criminals in Tidewater who were using technology to target child victims. She teaches and trains other prosecutors, police and community groups on Internet safety and domestic violence. Her peers have recognized her for her leadership in the community with numerous awards and recognition.
