by Jessica Smocer

Carol PrattJOBS JOBS JOBS!

After talking to Carole Pratt for five minutes, it is pretty clear why she has been so successful generating support so early in her campaign. She’s straightforward, gutsy, incredibly qualified, knowledgeable about the issues, and cheerfully inexhaustible. Carole Pratt is the Farm Team endorsed candidate for the House of Delegates in the 6th District.

Betsy Carr for House of Delegates

Betsy CarrGo, Betsy, Go!!

“They’ll never out work me.” Those who know Betsy Carr know that not only does she work hard but she works at the right thing. It will never be said of Betsy that she climbed a ladder only to find out that it was leaning up against the wrong building!

Tuesday is Primary day for Betsy, too. It’s not too late for folks in the Greater Richmond Metropolitan Area to call her campaign and help her get out the vote. You’ll be glad you did. Betsy has been a force on the Richmond School Board and there’s no doubt that when she takes her seat in the House of Delegates next January she’ll make the type of difference that will make all Virginians’ proud, but especially those in the  69th District.

Vote Jody Wagner for Lt. Governor

by Mary Sue Terry

Jody WagnerThere is excitement in the air. Someone we know and someone who knows us –with OUR help—will be the Democratic Party’s nominee for Lt. Governor at the end of the day Tuesday.

But this is not just a question of knowing a candidate and being known as important as that is. And it’s not just because Jody was at the farm last September and was a founder of The Farm Team.

These are difficult times and never were the right kind of experience and leadership more important.  Jody’s got both.

Her expertise is finance. She owns a small business and has served our state as Treasurer and Secretary of Finance. And, while she has distinguished herself in every endeavor she’s been a part of, she’s also a wife and mother of four children—two boys and two girls.

Her family motivates her. Her Hampton Roads community supports her.  And tens of thousands of Virginians from one end of the state to the other– north and south– are committed to her election.

But good intentions between now and Tuesday aren’t enough. I’m taking calls and making calls and talking about the importance of this election. Like so many of you I was there when The Farm Team endorsed her last February. Like many of you I have followed her candidacy and campaign and watched her thrive and inspire as a candidate.

So let’s buckle down until 7:00 o’clock Tuesday night. Then Wednesday morning after the celebrating is over let’s get behind Jody and our Democratic ticket and work toward the next election. We need her. At this moment she needs us. Let’s keep the momentum going!
