Jasmine Gray for Hopewell City Council
October 18, 2012 – Today, The Farm Team announced their endorsement of Jasmine Gore in her candidacy for Hopewell City Council in Ward 4. The election is November 6th.
Ms. Gore believes that more transparency must come to Hopewell City Council, and is dedicated to making sure that the needs of the citizens of Hopewell are primary in the actions of their government. Whether it’s local economic development and revitalization or education and job training, Gore believes that Hopewell City government has a responsibility to openly and fairly tackle issues.
Ms. Gore is a recent graduate of VCU with a duel degree in Biology and Political Science with a minor in chemistry. Politically active at a young age, Ms. Gore served on the VCU Student Government Association and worked for Del. Jennifer McClellan as a legislative aide in Richmond. She is a certified Paralegal and is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Economic Development Authority.
She has already shown a dedication to service to Hopewell; she was appointed to the City of Hopewell’s Architecture Review Board, Hopewell Economic Development Authority and Keep Hopewell Beautiful where she serves as the Education Liaison.
She currently works as a Court Appointed Special Advocate serving parents and children in the Tri-Cities area.
