TFT endorses Wagner for LG

At the statewide meeting in Richmond Monday, The Farm Team officially endorsed Jody Wagner for Lieutenant Governor. Below is a message from our endorsee.

Dear Farm Team Members,

Thank you for your endorsement!  I’m so proud to have your support as I run to be the next Lt. Governor of the Commonwealth.  It has been a pleasure to get to know all of you and participate in Farm Team meetings across the state.  Women in Virginia have proven able leaders in the fields of business and commerce, education, medicine, and law.  Unfortunately, too few have followed the footsteps of Mary Sue Terry and Leslie Byrne in pursuing high office in the Commonwealth.  The Farm Team will be integral in helping more women play active roles in Virginia government.

For more than 25 years, I have called Virginia home – raising four children, building a small family business, practicing law, becoming active in my local community, and serving as a key part of the team that put Virginia back on the right track during the Warner and Kaine Administrations.

As Lieutenant Governor, I want to build on the progress of the past seven years and help lead Virginia’s economic recovery.
